Khushi Kumari Gupta

Chirpy, bubbly, and fun... That is Khushi. Like her name, she radiates and spreads happiness. She is impulsive, romantic, loves Bollywood movies and total nautanki (drama queen).

If Payal is like the calm, unassuming river; she is like the wild, dancing waterfall. If Payal is a mellow wine, smooth to the palette with hidden notes; Khushi is the sparkly champagne which flows through your vein and makes you intoxicated...

When she is around, people usually have three types of expression on their face - Alarmed, Dazed or Awed... Life of every party, she likes to dance anywhere & everywhere. Just jump start the music to see her hips moving...

Khushi's Passion:

She was 6 when she was adopted by Shashi and Garima Gupta. Losing parents is hard at any age. It's especially hard when you are too young to understand what death means. When she came to her new home, Garima told her that her parents became stars. So she decided to name the two brightest stars her mom and dad... She talks to them every night and shares her stories. When they twinkle back, she takes it as their smile.

She loved her new family from the very first day. Payal is Shashi's daughter by blood. But Khushi became his daughter of heart. People say, relationship that is made by heart is stronger than relationship that is forged by blood. This very much applies to Shashi and Khushi's relationship. Even though he tried to never differentiate between his two daughters, but maybe he loves Khushi a little bit more. She is his partner in crime in the kitchen and he is her knight in shining armour when she gets into trouble (which she does... a lot)...

Khushi is known in the area for her penchant to get into trouble. She is a dreamer and a doer in the same body. The neighbourhood kids follow her like the pied piper and with her mischievous mind she cooks up plan which is mostly inspired by Bollywood. No need to elaborate that it always ends up being disaster. But the neighbourhood kids are extremely loyal to her and always ready to be her alibi. Even though the neighbourhood people are a little scared of her crazy head, they also love her a lot.

Khushi is a total foodie. She loves to eat anything and everything. Shashi Gupta's hobby is cooking and Khushi is his personal tester. She got her love of cooking and eating from Shashi Gupta. She loved spicy and junk food. She is usually seen in roadside gulping down Golgappa or bhelpuri or aloo chaat etc. But her favourite food of all time is Jalebies. Whenever she is upset or stressed, the entire Gupta Kitchen gets flooded with Jalebies. The neighbours don't mind though, they get free jalebies every time Khushi is upset.
